Our primary goal is to breed Yakutian Laikas that fully conform to the official breed standard—while never forgetting that this is a working breed whose working qualities must be respected and preserved.
“Form follows function” is a principle we hold sacred. This means that a dog’s physical structure (form) must be shaped by its intended purpose (function). In other words, every physical trait should support the tasks for which the breed was developed—sledding, hunting, herding, and endurance in harsh Arctic conditions
We also preserve the best typical temperaments of Yakutian Laikas as working dogs: bold, energetic, friendly yet independent, intelligent, and affectionate with family and children when properly socialized. Health is a top priority: our dogs undergo more comprehensive testing than the mandatory requirements, and each one is screened for structural and genetic soundness.
All Mongun Taiga dogs are fully health‑tested, exceeding the mandatory breeder committee standards. They are evaluated for working ability and remain active in their disciplines.
Our breeding dogs are recognized by international experts and has earned multiple Champion and Winner titles at biggest shows in the world and working competitions. Each dog in our kennel has showed remarkable show results proving their soundness both in structure and temperaments.
